The Uigur has its own language and alphabet
They plant cotton, wheat, corn and paddy. Cooked wheaten food is their main food, such as nang, lamian (pulled noodle), zhuafan and baozi (steamed stuffed buns). The Uigurs favor beef and mutton meat .Fruits also play an important role in their life.
The Uigur men often wear an unbuttoned robe outside their shirt with webbing tied around their waist. The Uigur women like fresh and colored clothes. Their favorite accessories are earrings, bracelets and necklaces.
The Uigur people believe in Islam.The Corban Festival, Almsgiving Festival, Kaizhai Festival and Nuolu Festival are the Uigur people¡¯s most important festivals.
